The greatest kids!

Yesterday Maddy and Jonny had their 2 and 3 year well child exams. Once Maddy hit 39 pounds she has stayed there. No matter how much she eats she doesn't gain weight, she is 39 inches tall. The Dr. said it was normal and around 4 she should have another growth spurt. The Dr. says she is perfectly healthy and developing like she should. She knows all her colors, the whole alphabet and she can count to 15. She is so smart sometimes it amazes me. Her favorite things to do right now are ride her bike, watch her morning cartoons and sing Itsy-Bitsy spider and twinkle twinkle little star.

Jonny also weighs 39 pounds and is 39 inches tall. He is only 2 and the same size as his sister! It is crazy how alike the two of them are. The doctor is worried about his development. He doesn't do most of the things that a 2 year old should be doing. He deosn't seem to be developing mentally like he should. So he is going to be doing some blood work to check for chromosomal abnormalities and he is going to evaluate him for having a cleft palate that isn't visible. He said he has some physical facial characteristics of having one and some non-physical characteristics. So in the next few weeks we will be taking him to the doctor for a more thorough examination. We aren't sure what is going on with him but hopefully soon we will have some answers. He is such a sweet and lovable little boy. He loves hanging out with his big sister. He follows her around and tries to mimic her. It is so cute!!
