Goings on of our family

Lizzie has started walking. Not just a few steps at a time but really walking. She stands up and will walk around the room without falling on her hiney. It is so much fun to watch her toddle along. I am so excited that she will be able to walk t Guy when we pick him up for R&R. He is really looking forward to that also. We have tried to get her to walk when we webcam but she just doesn't want to cooperate, lol.

Maddy just doesn't seem to grow! She is still tall and skinny I am waiting for her to put on weight but it just isn't happening. She is anxiously awaiting Christmas though. Everytime she sees a Christmas tree she gets all excited and stars shouting 'Christmas mommy, look Christmas!!' She is such a smart girl. So smart it shocks me sometimes. She also has such a vivid imagination She can turn anything into a toy and visualize it It is very interesting to watch her and jonny play together.

Jonny is just the opposite of Maddy. He just keeps growing. He is only two but he is the same height and he weighs more than Maddy does. I just can't believe how big he is. My mom says that me and Guy have green giant genes, lol. I guess that is true. I am hoping that his growing will slow down some. We'll have to see though. He has almost as good an imagination as Maddy does. He follows her around like a little puppydog. It is so adprable to watch. He sometimes gets into one of his fits though when she says she doesn't want to play with him. Those are times that are hard to control but they aren't as often as they used to be.

Guy is doing ok in Iraq. Just getting bored with the routine of it all The good thing though is that he says he is gaining weight. That is great news considering he was underweight to begin with. He went from working in the motorpool fixing trucks to going on missions. I think he is liking that more because it breaks the routine a little bit. We are hoping that he will be home sometime soon for R&R. He hasn't got specific dates yet just a month. So we are anxiously awating that.

My dad has made the decision to come out to Texas to pick me and the kids up for the holidays My mom has been extremely ill with potential liver failure and the Drs arent sure why or what to do for her. So we are going to make this Christmas extra special in case they can't help her. I am so glad my dad is going out of his way to get us there. My mom was extremely upset, as was I, that we were seperated this year. So this will be an extra special Christmas all around. I am hoping to stay in Arizona for a month or two so I can help my mom and dad out.
